ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
TO THE HONORABLE, THE JUDGES OF THE SAID COURT:
Agreeable to the requirements of the Act of Assembly of May 5, 1933, P.L. 289, (15 P.S. 2851-1, et seq) as amended, the undersigned do hereby form the Delaware County Fire Police Association, a non-profit corporation, and for that purpose do make and sign there, our Articles of Incorporation.
I – NAME
The name of the proposed corporation is Delaware County Fire Police Association.
II – LOCATION
The principal office of the said corporation is to be located at 711 Walnut Street, Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
III – PURPOSES
The purposes of the said corporation are:
- The creation of good feeling, comradely, good neighborliness among the citizens of Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
- Acquiring and wide dissemination of knowledge and protection at the scene of fires in the County.
- To encourage the active interest of its members in the civic, commercial, social and moral welfare of their respective communities
- To promote the study of fire police methods and procedures and improve on the same.
- To provide lands, buildings, equipment and facilities for social, athletic and intellectual use and enjoyment of its members.
IV – PERIOD OF CHARTER
The said corporation is to exist perpetually.

VII – STOCK ORGANIZATION
The said corporation is to be organized on a non-stock basis.
VIII – ASSETS
The assets, real and person, which the corporation will have to start its function are as follows:

Personalty: $70.00
IX – OFFICERS
The officers of the corporation shall be a President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary and Treasurer who shall be elected by the membership at large, and shall serve for the term of one year or until their successors are duly qualified.

Financial Secretary – Frank W. Burr
Treasurer – James Birtwell
XI – MEMBERSHIP
The members of the corporation shall comprise the subscribers hereto and all such other persons as may from time to time be admitted in accordance with the provisions of the duly adopted By-Laws of the said Corporation and the Laws of the Commonwealth.
XII – BYLAWS
Said corporation shall have the power to make by-laws consistent with this Charter and the Laws of the Commonwealth for the Governance of its members and the regulations of its affairs.
XIII – INCOME
The income of the corporation shall be derived from membership fees, annual dues, voluntary contributions and such other income as shall be proper and under the provisions of the By-Laws and the Laws of this Commonwealth.
XIV
This Charter may be amended, changed or altered from time to time in accordance with the desires of at least a majority of the members of the corporation duly convened for that purpose and with the approval of the court.
