Richard T. Curley, 77

Richard T. Curley, 77, husband of Madeleine “Penny” (Scannell) Curley of Hawk Court, Gilbertsville passed away Wednesday July 9, 2014 in the Paoli Hospital. Born in Phila. He was the son of Edward A. and Alma (Nubbemeyer) Curley. Richard was employed as a clerk by the Sun Oil Co. He was a Korean War veteran, a member of St. Columbkill RC Church. He was a former President of Lansdowne Fire Co. Former President of the 7th and 8th District Fire Police of Delaware County. He also received the J. Howard Pew Valor Award.

Surviving with his wife are sons Richard “Tim” Curley and wife Terry, Mark Curley and wife Denise, Terence Curley and wife Mary, Sean Curley and wife Lisa, Brian Curley and wife Veronica and Brendan Curley and wife Cara. Fourteen grandchildren. A sister Dolores Hobbs. Predeceased by brothers Thomas and Gene Curley and a sister Marie Bowes.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be offered at Noon Monday, July 14, 2014 in St. Columbkill RC Church, 200 Indian Spring Rd., Boyertown. A viewing will be held 10a.m. – Noon, Monday at the Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Coshohocken at 2:30 p.m., Monday. Contributions may be made to Lansdowne Fire Co., 26 N. Highland Ave., Lansdowne, PA 19050. Arrangements by Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Pottstown, PA.
